Beca is one of Asia Pacific’s largest independent advisory, design and engineering consultancies. After a century of operation, they have grown from a family-owned business to one of the most progressive, client-centric professional services consultancies in the world. Beca has more than 3,300 employees in 21 offices around the world and has delivered projects in more than 70 countries.
Beca commissioned Orly to create a story of their first 100 years, a story that celebrated their past and the future for them and their clients.
The Orly creative crew collaborated closely with the Beca team to develop the approach and script. Then we set about shooting the content across New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and China. We then post-produced the content with voice-over, music, motion graphics and animation to bring everything together in the final video.
The Interactive:
As part of the celebration, Beca also commissioned Orly to produce a dynamic interactive to showcase the last 100 years of operating.
We created a fully interactive timeline for Beca that chronologically depicts the company’s first 100 years in an engaging, informative and impressive way. A timeline that visually encapsulates the evolution of Beca, the key milestones, people and interesting facts and figures.
Our creative approach had simplicity at its core. We developed content that’s different, exciting and intuitive. A dynamic view of Beca’s first 100 years, with a ‘heads-up’ style display constantly updating valuable information in real-time, over the 100 year period.
Users can choose to interact in more depth or simply skim through the interactive within a minute or so, to get a quick, easy to understand overview. Those who want more detail can select featured elements from each decade, for more in-depth information including text copy, photos and video content.
The project was completed and ready for their big celebration deadline going online. We were very pleased with the result as was the team at Beca who were a delight to work with.
